1 pound bacon
1 55-ounce can Bush’s Baked Beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large onion, diced (Vidalia preferred)
1 large green pepper, diced
Chop bacon into 2-inch pieces and cook. Half will be used in the beans and half on the top.
Combine beans, brown sugar, onion, green pepper, and half the bacon and spoon into baking pot. Spread other pound of cooked bacon pieces over top. Bake in 350-degree oven 1 hours.
