    Rochester turned seven hits into five runs against the Toledo Mud Hens on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Fifth Third Field, taking a 5-1 decision to even the series at one game each. Matt Crouse (1-2) allowed two earned runs and four hits in seven innings for Toledo, but earned only one supporting run and was charged with the loss.

    The Dragon Boat Festival was under way early Saturday, June 18, 2016 at International Park in East Toledo. The festival featured races between crews on 40-foot-long Hong Kong-style Dragon Boats and a Summer Learning Village, which included educational vendors. The Chinese Association of Greater Toledo also provided music and entertainment. Organizers expected participation from between 5,000 and 7,000 spectators and volunteers.

    Two Syrian refugees received new bicycles Tuesday at Wersell's Bike & Ski Shop in Toledo as part of The Bikes for Kids summer program started by Charles E. Boyk Law Offices in 2009. Recipients are selected for their contributions to the community or other deserving actions.
