Reifers wins Ohio Senior Amateur at Stone Oak

Randy Reifers of Dublin defeated Alex Antonio of Bentleyville on the first hole of sudden death yesterday to win the Ohio Golf Association Senior Amateur Championship.

Reifers survived a late charge by Antonio on the par-71, 6,600-yard Stone Oak Country Club course.

Antonio, the first-round leader, faltered on the front nine, but had three birdies on the final five holes to catch Reifers at 1-over-par 143.

Denny Spencer of Sylvania and David Bondy of Maumee tied for ninth with 149s.
