Anthony Zummo of Mayfield Heights followed an opening-round 67 with a 68 yesterday to win the Habitec Toledo Open by two shots over Dublin's Bob Sowards at Sylvania Country Club.
Zummo, with a 9-under-par 135 total, captured the $5,000 first prize in the Northern Ohio PGA event. John Connelly finished tied for eighth to lead the Toledo-area pro contingent.
Ton Herzan of Findlay won the senior division title on the second hole of a playoff against John Martin of Port Clinton. Both shot final-round 70s for 4-under 140 totals.
Mike Hyland of Toledo had the top round among amateur competitors yesterday, a 71, and finished second in that division to Chris Miller of New Philadelphia.
