SWANTON - Swanton prevailed in a tight defensive contest to earn a 44-38 victory over Bryan last night, holding the Bears to 13 points in the second half.
The Bulldogs won the game at the free throw line, making 8 of 9 in the fourth quarter.
Chris Keesey topped Swanton (13-5, 5-3) with 14 points and Eric Watts added 12.
Nate Ward and Chris Carpenter paced Bryan (12-5, 4-3) with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Wauseon 76, Delta 43
DELTA - Delta normally has seven players who dress varsity only. Last night, five were suspended for disciplinary reasons.
The Panthers stayed with Wauseon for a quarter (13-13), but trailed 36-19 at the half.
Steve Hill led Wauseon (6-10, 3-4) with 16 points, Aaron Weber had 13 and Clark Carroll 12.
Ryan Parsons led Delta (1-16, 0-7) with 22, Addy Shindorf added 16 - for 38 of the Panthers' 43 points.
Patrick Henry 35, Liberty Center 33
HAMLER - Jordan Badenhop scored a rebound basket at the buzzer to give the Patriots the come-from-behind win.
Patrick Henry outscored the visitors 15-5 in the final quarter to overcome an 11-3 first-quarter start by the Tigers.
Brent Punches scored nine points to lead Patrick Henry (7-10, 4-3).
Tim Myers and Greg Badenhop each had 10 points for Liberty Center (6-9, 2-5).
Evergreen 83, Montpelier 61
MONTPELIER - Dan Stong scored 32 points, Jake Teal added 26 and Matt Mossing had 18 for Evergreen.
The Vikings (14-3, 5-2) jumped to a 24-11 lead after one quarter.
Austin Saneholtz and Derick Lemmon each scored 13 for Montpelier (7-10, 3-4), Tyson Richmond added 12 and Nick Murray 11.
Archbold 59, Napoleon 58
ARCHBOLD - The Streaks scored four points in the final 15 seconds to post the victory.
With his team trailing by three points, Trevor Fruth hit a 3-pointer to tie the score. Archbold's Jason Rose then stole the ball and was fouled with 6.7 seconds left, and he made one of two free throws for the win.
Fruth finished with 11 points to lead Archbold (13-4), while Tad Litwiller added 10.
Brett Wesche finished with a game-high 23 points for Napoleon (10-6).
