COLUMBUS - Cleveland St. Ignatius shot a two-day total of 627 to win by eight strokes over Cincinnati St. Xavier at the boys Division I state golf tournament yesterday on Ohio State's Scarlet Course.
St. John's was eighth at 659 and Findlay 11th at 667. Findlay's Tyler Riley tied for second individually after yesterday's 75 left him at 153. Logan's Jason Gerken was the medalist with a 152.
Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit shot a 673 to win the girls tournament on the Gray Course by seven shots over Upper Arlington.
St. Ursula placed fifth at 707 with Brandi Zielinski eighth with a 162 after yesterday's 83.
Middletown sophomore Carling Coffing shot a 147 to win the individual title.
