FREMONT - Fremont Ross blew past Fostoria 107-65 to earn a share of its second consecutive GLL championship last night, tying Findlay for the title.
The Little Giants broke the Fostoria press early and often to score numerous transition points in a 54-point first half.
Luke Lyle led the way for Fremont (13-7, 7-3) with 22 points. Chad Clark added 21, Lee Root 17, Mike Price 14 and Bo Martin 12 in the Little Giants' scoring outburst.
Brice Fuller paced the Redmen (14-6,, 5-5) with 18 points, while Michael Tucker contributed 15, Treyvon McBeth 13, and Dan Echleberry 10.
Justin Thomas sank two free throws with six seconds left to give the Eagles a four-point lead and hold off a Panther rally.
Clay led by nine midway through the fourth quarter but Whitmer closed to within three as Darnell Randolph scored eight of his team-high 21 points in the final period.
The Eagles hit six of nine free throws down the stretch to seal it.
Thomas paced Clay (9-11, 3-7) with 15 points and Bryan McDougle added 13.
John Kirby scored 14 for Whitmer (7-13, 3-7).
FINDLAY - The Trojans hit five 3s in the first quarter, putting the Blue Streaks in a hole they never got out of as Findlay clinched a share of the league title.
Rob Young led Findlay (13-7, 7-3) with 25 points, while teammates Chris Webb and Will Toeppe chipped in with 17 and 14 points, respectively.
Issian Redding, who had 17 points at halftime for Sandusky (11-9, 5-5), scored only three in the second half, but reached 1,000 for his career with a free throw in the final minute, and added another for 1,001.
