The Washington Local board of education has voted not to undertake a feasibility study to look into the possibility of installing artificial turf at the Whitmer High School football stadium.
The vote was 3-2 against funding the $19,000 study. The turf itself would have cost in the neighborhood of $900,000.
Financial concerns were cited in the board's voting against the study.
