PEMBERVILLE - Genoa had six individual champions to capture the Suburban Lakes League wrestling championship.
The Comets' Mike Widmer, 275-pound champion, was named most valuable wrestler as Genoa snapped Elmwood's string of SLL titles at five.
The Comets won with 207.5 points. Runner-up Eastwood, paced by five individual champs, had 185.5. Elmwood placed third (135) and Lakota was fourth (104.5).
Genoa's other champs were Josh Resendez (125 pounds), Dan Escobar (135), Bob Bergman (140), Ryan Keaton (160) and Eric Mason (215).
Eastwood's winners were Ryan Cubberly (105), Ben Llanas (112), Kurt Shroyer (119), Kent Smith (152) and Ryan Nachtrab (189).
Jesse Thomas (130) of Elmwood, Brandon Racheter (145) of Lakota and Dan Tarver (171) of Lake also won.
Resendez and Smith won their second straight titles.
BRYAN - Delta won the Northwest Ohio Athletic League championship for the ninth time in the last 12 years.
Jared Evans (103), Jamison Moss (135) and Mark Nagel (215) defended individual championships for Delta, and teammate Ryan Gombash claimed the crown at 119. With four second-place finishers, Delta prevailed on depth.
Swanton's Xavier Taylor was the champion at 275.
SANDUSKY - Findlay earned the Great Lakes League championship with 155 points to second-place Fremont Ross' 141. Sandusky was third followed by Whitmer, Napoleon and Clay.
Whitmer had two individual champions - Damen Abitua (125) and Chad Sharp (140).
Clay's Blaine Napier (145) and Mike Zieler (160) won titles.
Bedford won the Red Division of the Southeastern Conference, getting titles from Deno Monnette (112), R.J. Breisacher (119), David Brighton (125), Kevin Gin (130), Chad Ditty (135), Bryce Bankowski (145), Kevin Zink (152), Jared Kinney (215) and Ricki Nieman (275). Monnette was named MVP.
