Sand Creek knocks Whiteford from 1st place
SAND CREEK - Steve Garcia rushed 16 times for 93 yards and three touchdowns to lead Sand Creek to a 36-6 victory over Whiteford last night that pushed the Bobcats out of first place in the Tri-County Conference.
Matt Donelson scored on an 85-yard run for the Aggies (5-2, 3-1) and had 135 yards on eight totes.
Sand Creek rushed for 233 yards and threw for 98 more.
Andrew Rhoades totaled 70 yards on four carries to lead Whiteford (5-2, 3-2). Chuck Fritz scored from the 5 for the Bobcats, who had 203 yards rushing and 21 through the air.
FLINT - Aaron Roelfs threw for 93 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another as the Eagles rolled.
Dan McCorquodale caught a 14-yard TD pass and Kyle Upchurch snared a 32-yarder for Mason (7-0), which led 27-0 at the half.
Jared England also rushed 20 times for 112 yards and scored three touchdowns.
The Eagles rushed for 256 yards.
TEMPERANCE - David Housel rushed 20 times for 102 yards, and John Rapp kicked 25 and 26-yard field goals for the Kicking Mules (2-5).
Bedford had 184 yards rushing and 16 through the air, while Pioneer rushed for 68 and threw for 212. The visitors scored 36 points in the second half.
