MONTPELIER - Junior Clint Russell poured in a career-high 36 points as Delta defeated Montpelier 86-68 last night for its first Northwest Ohio Athletic League boys basketball victory this season.
Russell hit two 3-pointers among 14 field goals and scored six from the foul line.
Marcus Baun and Ryan Shackelford added 12 apiece and Josh Williams had 11 for the Panthers (2-8, 1-3 NWOAL).
Josh Daft (18), A.J. Hephner (13) and Mike Lamberson paced the Locomotives (1-11, 1-3).
SWANTON - Dan Borcherdt scored 26 points as the Blue Streaks rolled.
Mike Weldy added 14, Ryan Pratt 11, and D.J. Selgo 10 for Archbold (11-1, 5-0 NWOAL).
Zach Weagley scored 13 points for Swanton (0-12, 0-5).
Weather postponed Bryan-Patrick Henry and Liberty Center-Wauseon.
