SLL: Diekman s 18 lift Genoa over Bears

GENOA - Zach Diekman scored 18 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Genoa over Gibsonburg 63-51 in a Suburban Lakes League game last night.

Zach Alt added 15 points, Adam Edens 11 and Brad Schlagheck 10 for the Comets (6-7, 5-3 SLL).

Drew Williamson tallied 15, Nathan Kirwen had 11 and Marcus Ahle 10 for the Golden Bears (4-8, 3-5).

Genoa outscored Gibsonburg 18-4 at the foul line and outrebounded them 37-29.

MILLBURY - Eastwood s Kevin Leady burned Lake for 33 points, with 25 coming in the first half of the Eagles easy win.

Brandon Snyder added 18 points for Eastwood (7-4, 6-2), which connected on 58 percent of its shots from the floor (70 percent in the first half).

Cody McPherson paced the Flyers (3-9, 1-7) with 12 points.

KANSAS - The Royals outscored the Raiders 22-8 in the second quarter and never looked back.

Travis Farabee led Elmwood (7-5, 5-3) with 17 points and Nick Burton added 13.

Bryan Chaney was the only Lakota (2-10, 0-8) player in double figures with 12.
