TECUMSEH, Mich. - Brett Sergent scored 21 points and teammates Jimmy Simpson and Derick Seymour each added 16 as Bedford (12-9) ousted Tecumseh 63-56 from the Class A district tournament last night, 63-56.
Tecumseh (6-15) staged a furious fourth-quarter rally but Sergent made 4 of 5 foul shots in the fourth and Seymour scored 10 of his 16 in the fourth to keep the Indians at bay.
Gary Coleman and Ken Patterson led the Indians with 15 each.
SAND CREEK, Mich. - David Hamden's offensive rebound and put-back of a missed shot with two seconds to play lifted Summerfield to a Class C district first-round win over Blissfield 56-54.
Rusty Willard led the Bulldogs with 16 points and blocked a last-second attempt by Bliss
field at the buzzer.
Brandon Medlin added 15 for Summerfield (12-9) and Brad Laking 10.
Lance Nine and John Johns each scored 12 points for Blissfield while Andrew Estes had 11.
