EDON - Cardinal Stritch racked up 420 total yards on offense, led by Kent Crozier's 211 yards, as the Cardinals knocked off Edon 40-20 last night.
Crozier scored touchdowns on runs of 54 and 36 yards.
Stritch quarterback Hank Taylor split the Edon defense for 195 yards passing and four touchdowns.
Michael Ameling and Eric McCloskey hauled in two touchdown passes each for the Cardinals (5-3, 3-1).
Jamie Laney ran for 83 yards and a touchdown for Edon (0-8, 0-5), while Adam Wakefield and Matt Smith added one-yard touchdown runs.
Toledo Christian 7
The Lakers went on the road and outlasted Toledo Christian, outgaining the Eagles 284 yards to 182.
Nick Wiedanhost struck first for Danbury (3-5, 2-3) with a six-yard run. He followed up with a score in the second quarter on a 15-yard pass from quarterback Brandon Portales, who finished 21-of-32 for 233 yards. Portales hit David Clemens for a 27-yard touchdown in the fourth.
Grant Sims ran in from a yard out for Toledo Christian (3-5, 1-3).
