TONTOGANY - Woodmore made 19 of 32 free throw attempts while Otsego could only connect on 23 of 41 in a 69-64 victory for the Wildcats last night in girls Suburban Lakes League basketball.
Brittany Perkins sank five free throws in the fourth quarter and Danielle Lowery four to seal Woodmore's victory.
Sarah Hernandez paced the Wildcats with 18 points, followed by Lowery with 15 and Perkins with 10.
Otsego's Alysha Gruelich led all scorers with 19 points, while Kara Dickey and Emily Schwab added 12 points apiece.
Elmwood 45, Lakota 37
BLOOMDALE - Brooke Morgart scored 16 points to lead Elmwood to victory.
Kayla Chapman grabbed eight rebounds for the Royals, who led 30-18 by halftime then held on.
Morgan Podach paced Lakota with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ali Park added 12 points.
Elmwood outrebounded Lakota 26-19 and hit 9 of 10 free throws. Lakota hit 8 of 13 from the line.
GIBSONBURG - Abbey Kontak made a 3-pointer with about three minutes remaining to put Genoa up by five and ignite a 6-0 run.
Kontak finished with a game-high 20 points, including 11 points from the free throw line. Simone Eli and Mallory Imbery added 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Genoa (3-0, 1-0).
Katie Jones scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Golden Bears (1-1, 0-1).
The 10-point differential was determined at the free throw line, where Genoa went 17 of 26 and Gibsonburg went 7 of 15.
Eastwood 78, Lake 15
PEMBERVILLE - Four players scored in double figures and 12 Eagles scored in a romp over Lake.
Lisa Griffith scored 16 points, Megan McCracken had 15, Amanda Haws 12 points and nine rebounds and Katie Cameron 11 points.
