Genoa's Vicars runs for 6 TDs

PORT CLINTON - Genoa's Derrick Vicars scored six touchdowns, amassing 173 rushing yards on 20 carries in a 61-14 victory over Port Clinton last night.

Vicars scored on runs of 7, 2, 49, 1, 18 and 3.

The Comets (2-1) piled up 472 yards rushing on 62 attempts.

Also scoring for Genoa were Conner Wendt (37-yard run), Scott Traver (1-yard run) and Alex Eckel (11-yard run).

Port Clinton (1-2) scored on a 45-yard fumble recovery and on a 68-yard run by Jared Cox.

BLOOMDALE - Thomas Curtis threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers as Elmwood improved to 2-1.

Curtis was 14-of-21 for 181 yards. He connected on scores with Trey Farabee, Ben Hammer and Nathaniel Fitch.

The Royals' C.J. Allums rushed nine times for 106 yards and two scores. Randy Marine led North Baltimore (0-3) with 79 yards on 11 carries.

TIFFIN - Aaron Gassner scored on two short runs of 3 and 4 yards and threw a six-yard touchdown pass to Adam Zahner to lead Tiffin Calvert past Woodmore.

The Senecas also scored on a 48-yard interception by Jeff Stover.

Quarterback Chris Noe scored both touchdowns for Woodmore (0-3) on runs of 40 and 1 yards.
