Ottawa Hills and Toledo Christian both picked up victories last night, the Green Bears winning at Danbury and the Eagles defeating visiting Northwood, and wound up tied for the TAAC championship with 11-1 records.
Ottawa Hills 67,
With Eliot Browarsky and Phillip Beans each scoring 19 points and Brent Abendroth chipping in with 16, the Green Bears upped their overall record to 16-2.
Ottawa Hills hit 8 of 10 free throws in the last two minutes and 14 of 18 in the quarter, 25 of 32 for the game.
Browarsky had nine of his team's points in the fourth.
Michael Hamann scored 22 points for Danbury (8-10, 5-8) and Nick Wiedenhoft hit 17.
Toledo Christian 72,
Kyle Whitlow erupted for 28 points as Toledo Christian (17-1) dropped Northwood. Carson Oostra backed Whitlow with 17 points.
The Eagles led at the break 40-28 and outrebounded the Rangers 39-22.
Ryan Canaday tallied 18 points for Northwood (4-15, 1-11).
Emmanuel 58, Monclova 44
Emmanuel Christian finished 19-of-36 from the field.
Stephen Behan scored 29 for the Warriors (7-13). Josh Buck added 12 and Mike Noss 11.
Andrew Dibert led Monclova Christian (10-8) with 17 and Austin Rosales added 10.
