MORENCI, Mich. Benn Frazier scored a touchdown on a three-yard run and also returned a fumble 15 yards for a TD to lead Whiteford to a 28-8 victory last night over Morenci in a Tri-County Conference game.
Frazier finished with 87 yards on eight carries. The Bobcats (1-2, 1-0 TCC) got another TD from the defense when Bill Hansen returned an interception 60 yards. Travis Pant added a one-yard TD plunge.
Maurice Mouton scored on a one-yard run for Morenci (1-2, 0-1).
ERIE, Mich. Running back Danny Greenwood found the end zone three times as the visiting Bluestreaks knocked off the Eagles in Lenawee County Athletic Association action.
Greenwood scored from five and three yards in the second quarter to give Ida (3-0, 1-0 LCAA) a 14-0 lead at the half.
Jared Locke booted a field goal, and Paul Galloro had a five-yard run to extend the lead to 23-0 before Greenwood added a three-yard TD in the fourth quarter.
Steve Tomaszewski got Erie Mason (2-1, 0-1) on the board with a four-yard run in the final quarter.
Greenwood finished with 19 carries for 116 yards, while Ida s defense limited the Eagles to 139 yards of offense.
ADRIAN, Mich. The Maples piled up 21 points in each half to improve to 3-0 on the year.
Adrian quarterback Drew Owens had two touchdown runs, including one for 60 yards, and also threw for two scores, both to Jarrod Davis.
Nate Davis of the Mules (1-2) carried for 15 times for 101 yards and one touchdown.
