Jones scores 30 as Central gets by St. Ursula

Brianna Jones scored 30 points as Central Catholic held off St. Ursula 62-55 Saturday night in City League girls basketball.

The host Irish (4-2, 4-0) jumped out to a 20-11 lead after the first quarter and held on.

The Arrows made nine 3-pointers to stay close, including seven in the second half.

Morgan Bechtel led St. Ursula (0-6, 0-4) with 16 points, Hillary Lorton added 15.

DAYTON - Alisha Matthews hit a free throw in the closing seconds to give Scott the road victory.

Iesha Pernell led the Bulldogs (6-1) with 14 points.

Uniqua Northcott led Meadowdale (5-3) with 14.

WOODMORE 30

GIBSONBURG - Katie Jones scored 14 points and Emily Clark had 10 for Gibsonburg (3-3, 3-1 SLL).

Megan Haar led Woodmore (2-4, 1-3) with 12.

LAKE 54, ELMWOOD 24

MILLBURY - Lake remained undefeated, improving to 7-0, 4-0 in the SLL.

Kaysie Brittenham led the Flyers with 12 points. Lauren Lind added 11 and Rebekah Will 10.

Emily Reynolds paced Elmwood with nine points.

OTSEGO 51, LAKOTA 45

TONTOGANY - Ashley Holzwart led Otsego (3-3, 2-2 SLL) with 15 points, while Kara Dickey added 11. Baley Bernthisel scored 10 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

Hannah Podach led Lakota (1-5, 0-3) with 11 points.

GENOA 51, EASTWOOD 46

GENOA - Genoa took a nine point lead into halftime and held on for the win.

Simone Eli led the Comets (7-0, 4-0) with 25 points. Jessica Feller added 13.

Emily Bockbrader paced Eastwood with 18 points.

PATRICK HENRY 65, SWANTON 27

HAMLER - Saige Meyer hit two of Patrick Henry's eight 3-pointers, and the Patriots (2-3, 2-1 NWOAL) routed Swanton.

Meyer finished with 12 points,. Emily McGraw had 10.

Paige Onweller led the Bulldogs (0-4, 0-2) with five 3-pointers for 15 points.

DANBURY 47, NORTHWOOD 29

Christine Longer scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Danbury (5-1, 2-0 TAAC) built a 29-18 halftime advantage to roll to the road win.

Shayne Hague led the Rangers (2-4, 1-2) with 11 points.

LIMA SENIOR 49,

FREMONT ROSS 33

FREMONT - Kiaira Crockett led Lima Senior (4-0) with 15 points.

Brianna Crowe paced the Little Giants (1-4) with 14 points. Victoria Logan added 10.
