The lineup is set for Wednesday s City League girls basketball semifinals at Central Catholic s Sullivan Center.
Top-seeded Start (14-3, 11-0) will tip off against No. 4 seed Notre Dame (10-8, 7-4) at 6:30 p.m. The Spartans, who are seeking their first City championship, defeated Notre Dame 63-48 on Feb. 4.
In the 8:30 p.m. semifi nal, No. 2 seed Waite (13-4, 10-1) will face No. 3 seed Central Catholic (10-7, 9-2). The Indians beat Central, the defending CL champ, 71-41 on Jan. 28.
The margin of Start s top seed was a single point a 49-48 win over visiting Waite on Dec. 3.
Waite won the CL title three straight times before falling in the final last year. Notre Dame s last City crown came in 1996.
Central has won 21 league titles, including eight straight from 1997-2004.
Start has reached the championship game twice, losing to Central in 1999 and 2003.
