Northwood's Zach Bermejo ran roughshod over Hilltop last night, scoring five times in a 52-34 win for the Rangers at home in a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game.
Two of Bermejo's scores included a 60-yard run and a 75-yard pass play from Erik Russell.
Bermejo carried 14 times for 167 yards. Northwood (3-3, 2-0 TAAC) got tallies from Michael Prothero (40-yard run) and an 83-yard pass interception by Rickey Hartley.
Josiah Poletta paced the Cadets (3-3, 0-3) with 18 carries for 161 yards, including a 12-yard TD run. Hilltop's Tyler Shipman was 8 for 22 through the air for 167 yards and two touchdowns, including a 82-yard pass to Nick Smith.

The Cardinals got on the board first on Kyle Gladieux's nine-yard scoring run but after that it was all Toledo Christian.
The Eagles (4-2, 2-0) got a big game from quarterback Nick Rightnowar, who completed 16 passes for 190 yards and two scoring strikes to Sam Ivan and one to David Westmeyer.
Westmeyer finished with six catches for 100 yards and Ivan 4 for 39 yards.
Gladieux totaled 103 yards on 23 attempts for Stritch (1-5, 1-2), which got its second TD on a 12-yard pass from A.J. Valewski to Mike Blazevich.
Ottawa Hills 13
Evergreen roared off to a 35-0 halftime lead and the Green Bears scored the only points of the second half in a nonleague game at Ottawa Hills.
Chad Monaghan got things rolling for the Vikings with a 63-yard jaunt to open the scoring in the first quarter, then came right back with a 3-yard touchdown run. Chad Mossing scored from 19 yards out, Jackson Langenderfer bulled in from the one, and Trevor Pool concluded the Evergreen (2-4) scoring with a 6-yard run with 3:58 left in the first half.
Ottawa Hills (3-3) receiver J.J. Buckey grabbed a 41-yard pass from Jimmy Zimmerman in the fourth period.
Evergreen rushed for 278 yards and passed for 123 yards, while Ottawa Hills rushed for 133 and passed for 40.
Edon 47, Danbury 6
EDON - Shannon Geren carried 16 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns as the Bombers got their first win of the season.
The Lakers fell to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the league.
