WAUSEON - Tyler Hinkle hit a shot from the middle of the lane with 1.6 seconds left in overtime to lift Wauseon past Delta 57-55 Friday night in Northwest Ohio Athletic League boys basketball.
Hinkle finished with 19 points. Tre Henricks and Colt Humbert had 13 each for the Indians (10-6, 4-2 NWOAL), who converted 21 of 26 free throws.
The loss drops Delta (11-5, 6-1), which shot a 12 of 12 from the line, into a tie for first place with Evergreen. Archbold is right behind at 5-1.
Nate Jackson paced the Panthers with 16 points. Drew Salsbury scored 13, including two free throws with eight seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
Jordan Turner added 11 points for the Panthers.
METAMORA -- Chad Mossing paced the Vikings (14-3, 6-1) to the win by scoring 31 points.
Clayton Wielinski added 12 and Lucas Pennington 11.
The Locomotives (1-14, 0-7) were led by Dalton Buchanan with 16 and Chris Hephner with 10.
BRYAN - Bryan rolled up a 32-15 lead at the end of the first half.
Alex Nossaman and Matt Wisler each scored 16 points for the Golden Bears (8-7, 4-2 NWOAL).
Travis Hilton scored 13 points and Ryan Johnson 12 for Swanton (6-10, 1-6).
LIBERTY CENTER - Austin Christman and Shane Bostelman each tallied 11 points as the Patriots (3-13, 3-4 NWOAL) jumped to a 9-2 lead in the first quarter and held off a late Tiger rally.
Logan Burdue led the Tigers (2-13, 0-6) with 15 points.
