HARTVILLE, Ohio - Julius Turner scored 15 points to lead Emmanuel Christian to a 45-42 boys basketball victory last night over Granville Christian in the Association of Christian Schools International state semifinals.
Emmanuel will play Monclova Christian in the final.
Turner hit a layup with 42 seconds left to put EC up by one and Caleb Smith added two free throws with 14 seconds left.
Jeremy Weemes led host Toledo Christian with 17 points.
The Eagles (11-9) outscored Lenawee Christian 17-9 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 44-32. TC forced 19 turnovers and committed 12.
Corey Greene led Lenawee Christian (8-10) with 18 points.
Justin Staler scored 20 points to lead Cardinal Stritch to its first Toledo Area Athletic Conference victory of the season at Northwood.
Michael Blazevich added 19 and Matt Guy 12 for Stritch (2-18, 1-11 TAAC).
