Napoleon repeats in gymnastics; Williams, Dixon tie for all-around title

VAN BUREN - Napoleon edged Perrysburg to repeat as champion at the district gymnastics meet.

The Wildcats won the title with a score of 135.475, while the Yellow Jackets posted a 132.325. Patrick Henry tied Tinora for third with at130.125.

Perrysburg's Chelsea Williams and Karla Dixon of Ottawa Hills tied for the all-around title with a 35.875 score. Dixon also won the vault with a 9.325 total, while Williams finished first in the floor exercise with 9.30 score.

Other titlists were Riley Dunbar of Napoleon, who won the balance beam with a 9.075 score, and Kinsey Smith of Archbold, who took first in the uneven parallel bars with an 8.85.

The top two teams and top five individuals and the all-around advance to next week's state meet, which will be held at Hilliard Bradley.
