Mossing hits 31 to lift Evergreen past Genoa

Evergreen's Chad Mossing and Genoa's Matt Bassitt staged a shootout but it was the Vikings who prevailed 92-79 last night in a Division III boys basketball sectional final at Whitmer.

Mossing pumped in 31 points for Evergreen (17-4). Clayton Wielinski scored 24, Tyler Good had 12 and Lucas Pennington 11.

Matt Bassitt poured in 36 points for the Comets (14-8). Stephen Clark added 16 and Jon Lester 12.

Josh Beverly had 21 points to lead Delta in a sectional final at Whitmer.

Blake Green added 14 for the Panthers (13-8). Nate Jackson tallied 13 and Jordan Turner 10 .

The Knights (12-10) were led by Matt Weisenborn with 17 and A.C. Limes with 13.

FINDLAY - Aaron Craft poured in 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead Liberty-Benton in a sectional final.

Zac Cramer and Zach Jones added 10 points apiece for the Eagles (21-0).

Riverdale's Ryan Frey had 25 points. Derek Draper chipped in with six points and 11 rebounds for the Falcons (16-4).
