Former basketball star Mix to be guest speaker

Former University of Toledo basketball star and longtime NBA player Steve Mix will be the guest speaker Thursday as the City League holds its annual Blade All-City Sports Banquet at the Great Hall at the Stranahan Theater.

The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., includes dinner and presentation of award certificates for All-City first-team athletes from last spring and the fall and winter seasons of the current school year.

The ticket price is $25. Those interested in attending can contact Waite principal David Yenrick, the co-chairman, through the CL board of control office at 419-671-7000.
