Ottawa Hills 42, Ayersville 21
Will Longthorne rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns in 124 carries and also scored the game’s first touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone as Ottawa Hill rolled at home on Friday.
Longthorne scored on runs of 10 and 16 yards. The Green Bears had 164 yards rushing and 145 passing for 309 total yards to the 278 total by Ayersville (149 rushing, 129 passing).
Jon Rodriquez was 7 of 11 passing for 76 yards for Ottawa Hills and two touchdown tosses to Doug Stockton of 1 and 29 yards.
Vinnie Perez scored on a six-yard run, Justin Flory on a one-yard run, and Troy Shaffer on a 12-yard pass from Colton Relyea for Ayersville. Relyea was 10 of 20 for 90 yards and the TD. Flory had 126 yards and a touchdown in 24 carries.
Hilltop 21, Antwerp 6
WEST UNITY — Tyler Shipman ran for a 16-yard touchdown and threw a 39-yard TD pass to Logan Brooker for the Cadets, and Brandon Semer added a four-yard TD run.
Tom Taylor had a six-yard run for Antwerp.
Gibsonburg 19, Lakota 16
John Angelone’s 17-yard run for a score with 8:05 left in the third quarter gave the Golden Bears their first win of the season while Lakota fell to 0-2.
It was his second touchdown of the game. He finished with 62 yards rushing and one catch for three yards.
Lakota led 10-6 after the first after a 62-yard rushing score by Chris Robbins (12-111).
Albert Guerra scored a 16-yard run for Lakota while Gibsonburg quarterback Matt Tille (5-of-17, 36 yards; 23 carries, 191 yards) scored a 24-yard rushing score as well.
