Rossford 56, Genoa 53
Rossford took a 33-23 lead at halftime, thanks to a 16-8 scoring advantage in the second period and held on for the home victory despite being outscored 30-23 in the second half Friday night in Northern Buckeye Conference boys basketball.
Manny Durden led the Bulldogs (3-6, 3-1 NBC) with 21 points and Drew Brock added 10.
Joey Newland led the Comets (3-4, 0-4) with 22 points. Mark Vogelpohl had 12 and Jake Schimming 11.

Eastwood 44, Elmwood 31
BLOOMDALE -- Jacob Faykosh scored 14 points and Nick Vespi 13 to lead Eastwood (6-2, 4-0 NBC).
Tyler Rosendale and Zach Foster each had 10 points to lead Elmwood (3-4, 1-3) which led at the half, 17-12, but fell to a 32-14 scoring splurge by Eastwood in the second half.
AREA BOYS
Huron 65, Port Clinton 57
PORT CLINTON -- The Redskins were outscored 9-0 in the overtime session after leading 34-27 at the break in a Sandusky Bay Conference boys basketball game.
Huron (5-3, 3-3 SBC) was led by 28 points from Cody Thompson, and 12 from Collin McGreedy.
Aaron Mier and Alex Greene each scored 13 in the loss for the Redskins (4-5, 4-2) while Jason Faust had 11, Kalib Shiets added 10.
Fremont St. Joseph 73, North Baltimore 34
FREMONT -- Jordan Sessler led St. Joseph (6-3, 3-1) with 13 points while Sam Picciuto added 12 and Zack Yeckley and Ryan Williams 11 apiece.
Austin Davis led North Baltimore with 10 points.
Sandusky St. Mary 60, Oak Harbor 50
OAK HARBOR -- Alex Opfer scored 13 of his game-leading 20 points in the first half to lead St. Mary to a 29-20 lead at the break.
Joe Youskievicz added 14, and Denarius Harris 13 points for the winners.
Greg Haar scored 17 and Mark Edwards 13 for Oak Harbor.
Liberty-Benton 71, Hardin Northern 25
DOLA -- Mitch Linhart scored 17 points, Ryan Geise 12, and Rob Rucki 10 for Liberty-Benton (6-1).
Jake Gossard led Hardin Northern with seven.

TOLEDO AREA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Northwood 48, Cardinal Stritch 44
Becca Bisbee scored 13 points for the Rangers in a close Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls basketball win over the Cardinals.
Northwood slowly built its lead through the first three quarters then withstood Cardinal Stritch’s 25-19 fourth quarter rally.
Alayna Martinez had 11 points for the Rangers.
Abby Mass scored 24 for Cardinal Stritch.
Ottawa Hills 48, Gibsonburg 22
GIBSONBURG -- Nancy Rumpf scored 16 points to lead the Green Bears (7-1, 5-0 TAAC).
Ottawa Hills held Gibsonburg (1-8, 1-4) scoreless in the second quarter.
Tana Baxter led the Golden Bears with four points.
Toledo Christian 68, Emmanuel Christian 15
Melissa Green scored 16 points and Darian Westmeyer 15 to lead Toledo Christian (6-2, 4-1 TAAC).
Chelsea Graham led Emmanuel Christian (0-6, 0-5 ) with six points.
Danbury 40, Maumee Valley 19
LAKESIDE -- Delaney Lonsway had seven points, but the Hawks could not keep up with the Lakers.
Danbury’s Erin Lavelle led all scorers with 11 points.
NORTHWEST OHIO ATHLETIC LEAGUE
Evergreen 63, Patrick Henry 41
HAMLER -- The Vikings were led by Taylor Babcock with 18 points to take a Northwest Ohio Athletic League girls basketball victory.
Brittany Herr had 12 and Lauren Langenderfer added 11 for Evergreen (6-3, 3-1 NWOAL).
Kelsey Tietje (15 points) led Patrick Henry (5-5, 2-2).
Archbold 55, Montpelier 21
MONTPELIER -- The Blue Streaks got off to a 20-2 first quarter start and cruised from there to defeat the Locomotives.
Cassidy Wyse had 12 points to lead Archbold (12-0, 4-0).
Lauren Dye had eight points for Montpelier (0-9, 0-3).
Wauseon 64, Swanton 32
WAUSEON -- Bailey Creager scored 16 points and Annette Stidham 12 to lead Wauseon ( 6-4, 2-2 NWOAL).
Tracy Kashmer and Allison Knepley led Swanton (2-8, 2-2) with seven points each.
Liberty Center 46, Bryan 39
LIBERTY CENTER -- Niki Meyer poured in 22 points as the Tigers withstood an 18-11 fourth-quarter rally by the Golden Bears.
Hannah Schimmoeller had 13 points for Bryan.
AREA GIRLS
Holgate 54, Wayne Trace 45
HOLGATE -- Morgan Keeterle tallied 21 points to lead the Tigers to a victory in a Green Meadows Conference girls basketball game.
Erin Mack scored 14 and Marissa Myles 13 for Holgate (7-3, 1-0 GMC).
Kyrstal Wannemacher was high scorer for Wayne Trace (4-5, 0-1), while Sarah Feasby added 13 with 10 rebounds.
Fayette 41, North Central 35
FAYETTE -- Despite being held to just one point in the second quarter, the Eagles used a 15-point first quarter and 17-point fourth to beat North Central.
Ashtyn Baker had 16 points to lead Fayette while Paige Keefer added 10.
North Central’s Bralyn Wyrick led all scorers with 18 points while her teammate Shaylee Oier had 12.
Pettisville 48, Hilltop 33
WEST UNITY -- Tanner Hostetler scored 18 points, Lauren Hostetler and Kaitlyn Nofziger had 10 each for Pettisville.
Sam Lillemon had eight points and 10 rebounds to lead Hilltop.
