Flyers alone in first place after defeating Bulldogs


Lake 35, Rossford 26

Jordan Taylor scored a game-high 16 points Friday night to lead the visiting Flyers in a battle for first place in Northern Buckeye Conference girls basketball.

The Flyers took sole possession of first, improving to 12-4 overall, 8-2 in the NBC.

Alaina Mitchell had 11 for Rossford (7-3).

Lake led 17-12 at halftime and stretched the lead to 26-14 after three quarters.

Otsego 66, Fostoria 29

TONTOGANY -- Hannah Greulich scored 17 points, and Micaela Murphy added 15 for Otsego (9-6, 7-3 NBC).

Taylor Tucker led Fostoria (0-15, 0-10) with 10 points.

Elmwood 57, Genoa 46

GENOA -- Sierra Beckford pumped in 24 points to pace the Royals, who jumped ahead 17-7 after one quarter.

The Comets were led by Ciara Albright with 17 points.

Eastwood 41, Woodmore 30

ELMORE -- Courtney Rolf led the Eagles (5-11, 3-7) with 10 points as Eastwood rallied with a 19-5 edge in the fourth quarter.

Andrea Bouldin led Woodmore (8-8, 6-4) with 11.


Bedford 47, Ann Arbor Pioneer 42

TEMPERANCE -- Taylor Foster led the Mules (9-4, 4-2) with 15 points in a come-from-behind win Friday night in Southeastern Conference girls basketball.

Bedford (9-4, 4-2) trailed most of the game, but got within three points with about three minutes left, then went on a 6-0 run to grab the win.

Ellen Hays scored 13 points for the Mules.

Victoria Honeycutt had 11 for the Pioneers (5-7, 3-3).

Oak Harbor 52, Huron 23

HURON -- Allison Dunn tallied 18 points and Abbie Gezo had 15 for the Rockets.

Hannah Cantrill scored nine to lead Huron.
