Jackets nip Cougars as Newman scores 22
Perrysburg 53, Southview 48
Kelsea Newman poured in 22 points to go with nine rebounds and four steals Saturday night as the Yellow Jackets picked up a Northern Lakes League girls basketball win over the Cougars.
Becca Tudor had 13 points and Emily Treece had 11 points for Perrysburg (11-3, 7-2 NLL).
Lexi Lopez led Southview (8-7, 4-5) with 27 points.

The Wildcats (14-1, 9-0 NLL) romped at home, with four players scoring in double figures, headed by Miriam Justinger's 20 points.
Skylar Rose added 16, Kendall McCoy 15, and Jessica Jessing 13. McCoy also pulled down 10 rebounds.
Elizabeth Theaker led Maumee with seven points.
Ottawa Hills 53, Liberty Center 24
LIBERTY CENTER -- Nancy Rumpf scored 18 points and Caroline Arnos added 10 as the Green Bears used a 31-11 second-half advantage to cruise to victory.
Niki Meyer had 12 for the Tigers.
Delta 49, Otsego 48
TONTOGANY -- The Panthers, behind 16 points apiece from Brigan Wymer and Alexa Salsbury, got the road win.
Hannah Greulich had 14 points, and Morgan McCullough and Jessica Roberts each chipped in 12 for the Knights.
Old Fort 36, Maumee Valley 10
Johanna Becker scored eight points to lead the Stockaders (3-8).
The Hawks (1-12) were paced by Jordan Baker with four points.
Montpelier 50, Fayette 46
FAYETTE -- Lauren Dye scored 18 points and Aleah Maas added 16 for Montpelier.
Allison Cuff paced Fayette with 14 points, while Mikayla Smith and Ashtyn Baker scored 11 each.
Detroit Country Day 75, Central Catholic 51
DETROIT -- Despite Jaime Sobczak's 21 points, the Irish (10-6) fell on the road to the Yellow Jackets (10-1).
Archbold 57, Holgate 49
HOLGATE -- Archbold improved to 17-0 as Cassidy Williams scored 12, Cassidy Wyse 12, and Chelsea Goebel 11.
Morgan Keeterle had 19, Erin Mack 11, and Allison Gineman 10 for the Tigers.
Anthony Wayne 40, Springfield 26
Aisha Tyre and Aubrie Kreft scored 10 points apiece for the Generals (8-6, 5-4).
Goodwin had seven for the Blue Devils (3-11, 0-9).
