Jackets' Newman tops 1,000 points

Perrysburg 48, Anthony wayne 27

Kelsea Newman scored 13 points and surpassed 1,000 for her career as the Yellow Jackets rolled in a Northern Lakes League girls basketball game.

Emily Treece added 12 and Sarah Baer 10.

Aubrie Kreft tallied nine for the Generals.

MARION -- D'Angela Hicks scored 18 points and Torie McDuffie added 11 for the Spartans (11-5).

Loren Bollinger and Kora Hairston both scored six for the Presidents.

PIONEER -- The Panthers advanced to 14-3 as Alexa Salsbury scored 18 points, Brigan Wymer 13 and Kirsten Fruchey 11.

Bralyn Wyrick's 18 points topped North Central (2-14).

Holgate 73, McComb 37

HOLGATE -- Marissa Myles led Holgate (13-4) with 16 points, while Erin Mack scored 13 and Morgan Keeterle 10.

Connor Abel paced McComb (9-7) with 11 points.

Bowling Green 57, Maumee 43

BOWLING GREEN -- Marissa Milligan scored 16 points, and Jenna Stoner had 14 to help lead the host Bobcats (12-4, 8-3) to a Northern Lakes League victory.

Alisha Sayre led the Panthers (4-12, 1-10) with 16 points.

Springfield 31, Napoleon 28

NAPOLEON -- The Blue Devils' (4-11, 1-10 NLL) Natalie Yoder led the way with 10 points.

The Wildcats (8-9, 4-7) were paced with seven points from McKenzie Myles.
