Local athletes represent NW Ohio at OSHAA banquet

Tanner Calvelage of St. John's Jesuit and Samantha Rhodes of Liberty-Benton will be among athletes representing northwest Ohio at the 20th annual Ohio High School Athletic Association scholar-athlete banquet today in Columbus.

Calvelage earned seven varsity letters playing football, baseball and basketball. He graduated with a 3.89 grade-point average and plans to attend Ohio Northern to study civil engineering.

Rhodes was ranked first in her class and won 11 varsity letters in cross country, track and basketball. She will attend Ohio State to study business.
