Bowman leads Northview over Lake

Northview 45, Lake 26

Corey Bowman and Mark Bernsdorff each scored two touchdowns for Northview in a victory Saturday night.

Bowman carried 29 times for 184 yards and scored on runs of 1 and 14 yards. Bernsdorff scored on a 15-yard pass from Kyle Kremchek and on a 26-yard run. Kremchek also hit Chris Nowicki with a five-yard pass to open the scoring for the Wildcats (2-1).

Northview also had a 10-yard TD run by Preston McCurdy.

Jared Rettig passed to Chris Salaz for a 40-yard TD and Ben Swartz for 13-yard score for Lake (1-2). Rettig scored later on a 14-yard run and D'Angelo Smith passed to Connor Bowen for a TD.

Liberty Center 56, Evergreen 14

LIBERTY CENTER -- Sean Westhoven carried 20 times for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead Liberty Center (3-0, 2-0 NWOAL) in a game completed Saturday after being halted by weather conditions Friday night.

Anthony Right scored two touchdowns for the Tigers.

Kody Snyder scored on a 49-yard pass from Josh Drain and scored another TD by recovering a blocked punt. Drain also hit a 16-yard scoring pass to Kaleb Polman.

Kevin Denker passed to Jamie Wright for 20 yards for a TD for Evergreen (2-1, 1-1), and Mitch Carter ran 15 yards for a score.

Anthony Wayne 35, Otsego 26

TONTOGANY -- Sam Bruno scored four touchdowns (6, 1, 29, 12 yards), the last two in a vital fourth quarter rally to give the Generals (1-1) the victory after Otsego (1-2) had taken a 5-point lead going into the final period. Anthony Wayne's other touchdown came on a 48-yard pass from Jake Reid to Eric Zelina.

Nate Hackworth scored twice on passes from Ryan Smoyer of 4 and 5 yards for Otsego (1-2). Moyer scored on a one-yard run and Drake Johnson recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for the other Otsego touchdown. Smoyer passed for 295 yards and Hackworth had 11 catches for 113 yards.
