Area girls basketball roundup

Findlay 52, Anthony Wayne 50

FINDLAY — Jacey Hardesty hit a shot with 1.4 seconds left to give Findlay a victory Friday night in a girls basketball season opener.

Nicole Muehl led Findlay with 15 points. Taylor Stanfield added 13 and Christina McQueen scored 10.

Megan Bedard had 13 for the Generals.

Canton McKinley 62, Rogers 55

CANTON — Rams point guard Cha’Ron Sweeney was injury early in the second quarter and didn’t return in a season-opening loss.

Marquelle Williams led Rogers with 15 points, Akienreh Johnson added 12 points, and Sasha Dailey 11.

Marquain Turner led Canton McKinley with a game-high 24 points.

Gahanna Lincoln 46, Notre Dame 30

REYNOLDSURG, Ohio — Christina Butler paced Gahanna Lincoln with 17 points at the Gary West Tip Off Classic.

Tierra Floyd and Christiana Jefferson led the Eagles with 10 points.

Delta 67, Clay 47

Brigan Waver paced visiting Delta with 27 points. Abbie Harris added 18 points and Victoria Burdo scored 13.

Kayla Schaeffer led Clay with eight points and Hannah Novak added seven points in a losing effort.

Margaretta 62, Bowsher 40

CASTILIA, Ohio — Kelsey Kromer led Margaretta with 26 points.

Bowsher was paced by Katlyn Westhoven with 12 and Celeste Wade had 11.

Bowling Green 75, Eastwood 27

PEMBERVILLE — Hanna Williford led the Bobcats with 16 points, Chelsey Morlock added 15, Haley Glandorff 14, and Livvy Dill 12.

Diana Bushman led Eastwood with 17 points.

Woodmore 63, Old Fort 21

ELMORE — Allie Wank scored a game-high 15 points. Katy Avers added 10.

Genoa 43, Danbury 26

GENOA — Ciara Albright scored 18 points and Chelsea Lavelle added 12 points to lead the Comets.

Megan Stephens paced Danbury with 10 points .

Montpelier 40, North Central 30

MONTPELIER — Lauren Nye scored 17 points and Hannah Blake added 13 points to lead Montpelier.

North Central was paced by Sabrina Pickford, who tallied eight points.

Otsego 57, North Baltimore 54

NORTH BALTIMORE — Kim Forshey led Otsego with 13 points. Jessica Roberts added 12 and Morgan McCullough scored 11.

Megan Wright led the Tigers with 16 points. Ricci Emahiser added 13.
