Adam Downing's basket with five seconds to play lifted Northview to a one-point home win over Bowling Green in a boys high school basketball game Thursday night.
The Wildcats trailed throughout the contest until a 3-pointer by Adam West tied the Northern Lakes League game at 54 with 26 seconds left. BG's Evan Gardner was fouled a split a pair of free throws, setting up Downing's winning basket.
Connor Hartnett finished with 16 points, and Jeff Czerniakowski added 10 for Northview (4-2, 1-2 NLL).
Vitto Brown scored 26, while Mitchell Gardner added 11 for the Bobcats (3-2, 2-1).
Anthony Wayne 80, Southview 50
Mark Donnal scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Generals to the home win.
Matt Fox finished with 17 points and Hunter Debo 16 for Anthony Wayne (5-0, 3-0 NLL).
Jeremiah Roberts and Matt Morrison each scored 10 for the Cougars (0-6, 0-3).
Springfield 66, Napoleon 63
NAPOLEON — Markese Hicks connected on six 3-pointers to lead the Blue Devils to the win on the road.
Hicks finished with 21 points for Springfield (2-3, 1-2 NLL), while Curtis Hassell had 16 and Dilyn Good 14.
Jordan Lauf scored 19 points for the Wildcats (1-3, 0-3), while Anson Lankenau finished with 15 and Blake Dunbar with 13.
Wauseon 69, Swanton 40
WAUSEON — Collin Bzovi scored 26 points to lead the Indians to the home victory.
Jordan Schnabel had 11 points to lead Swanton.
Archbold 71, Montpelier 22
MONTPELIER — Tyson Schnitkey and Tyson Dietrich both scored 12 points to lead the Blue Streaks to a Northwest Ohio Athletic League road victory.
Parker Houk led Montpelier with 10 points. The Locomotives trailed 34-10 at halftime.
Otsego 73, Fostoria 37
FOSTORIA — The Knights had four players reach double figures and two post double-doubles to claim the easy Northern Buckeye Conference road win.
John Thomas had 22 points and 10 rebounds while Ryan Smoyer finished with 14 points and 11 boards for Otsego (5-1, 3-0 NBC). A.C. Limes added 16 points and Jerome Griffin 10 for the Knights.
Adonis Cousin scored 13 points for the Redmen (0-5, 0-3).
