The 5-foot-10 Wyse averaged 14.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. She helped the Blue Streaks to a 20-1 regular-season finish, a Northwest Ohio Athletic League championship, a No. 3 final state ranking, and ultimately to the D-III regional finals.

Three players shared the D-III player of the year award — Hannah Plybon of Orrville, Terra Stapleton of Proctorville Fairland, and Marley Hill of Columbus Africentric, the team that defeated Archbold in the regional final last Saturday.

In Division IV, Arcadia senior guard Miranda Palmer, who led the Redskins to a 19-3 regular-season record and a Blanchard Valley Conference championship, was named to the All-Ohio first team.

Palmer averaged 21.7 points and 4.3 assists.

Arcadia’s Randy Baker shared D-IV coach of the year honors with Dave Kleman of top-ranked, unbeaten Ottoville.

Picked to the second team in Division IV was 6-3 senior forward Kelsey Tietje (18.0 points, 11.0 rebounds) of Patrick Henry, which finished 21-1 in the regular season.

Ottoville’s Abby Siefker was chosen as D-IV player of the year.
