This handsome condominium is located at The Vineyard on Catawba, a 55-plus community located near Lake Erie. Just an hour from Toledo, it feels like resort living year-round!
The Vineyard on Catawba, on the Catawba Island peninsula near the shores of Lake Erie, is a 55-plus community that takes the idea of “community' very seriously.
A community center is the heart of this neighborhood, offering an exercise studio with fitness classes, a well-stocked library, large gathering rooms for special events – which are held frequently – a Wii, and much more. Asphalt walk paths can lead you to the beautiful gazebo overlooking the picturesque pond or to the Mon Ami Restaurant for lunch or dinner. Residents may take advantage of these as they choose, and leave the worries of home maintenance behind.
The Vineyard currently has six condominiums available. We will concentrate on just one, at 630 N. Vineyard Circle. It is part of a side-by-side duplex, with the two ranch-style homes joined at the garage.
Inside, you'll find a spacious living room with a vaulted ceiling. A beautiful fireplace at one end of the room has a marble surround and a white wood mantle. Built-in cabinets to one side hold your books and objets d'art.
Follow the ceramic tile floor from the front door, and you enter the dining room. Spacious enough for your dining room set, it includes a decorative chandelier.
To the left is the generously proportioned kitchen. White wood cabinets are topped by a charming gallery rail. A center island offers additional work and storage space, lit by pendants overhead. White appliances by GE stay with the home.
Off the kitchen, behind a pocket door, is the laundry room. The appliances here are included as well. A sink and cabinets for storing your laundry soaps and cleaning supplies are very convenient. The door to the two-car-plus garage is located here.
Off the dining room, French doors open to a graceful sunroom. Large windows all around make you feel as though you're sitting outdoors – but in complete comfort.
A vaulted ceiling here sports a fan, creating gentle breezes that keep the room comfortable. A door from this room leads outside to the spacious patio. Have a seat and watch the deer come out in the evening – your home backs up to woods.
Off the great room is a short hall that leads to the bedrooms.
The first bedroom, at the front of the home, has a bay window. A ceiling fan boasts a lovely medallion, and a double closet offers lots of storage.
Next in this wing of the home is a full bath. Of note here is the glass, step-in shower, an oak vanity, and a linen closet.
Across the hall is the den. This room may be used as a media room, or, with its oak built-in shelving and drawers, a home office. A double closet here makes this room also functional as a bedroom.
At the end of the hall is the master suite. This large bedroom has a view of the woods. A large walk-in closet includes a built-in ironing board.
The Vineyard on Catawba encourages those considering a move to reserve the Guest Suite for a visit and experience the lifestyle firsthand. Just an hour from Toledo, you can enjoy your home here as a vacation home, or choose to live here year-round.
