As the debate and issue of lead paint in homes goes on, it frustrates me to know that the issue of mold is not even considered in this city.
We were recently victims of a very moldy apartment complex that we decided to live in because our home sold so quickly in the fall. We ran a dehumidifier almost all day and night, but the mold continued to grow on ceilings and corners of bedrooms so densely that it split walls.
We contacted the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, and they informed us they have no training and do not deal with mold. We had breathing issues from the moment we moved to this apartment.
Why are apartments allowed to get away with this?

Respect office of presidency
Sean Spicer said recently that he thinks it’s sad that people are still talking about the election.
It was sad that former President Barack Obama was attacked about his citizenship for years after his election. Furthermore, he was forced to be in “campaign mode” for almost the entire length of his presidency.
When are people going to once again start respecting the office of the presidency and the man who is the president?

New Kroger won’t fix service issues
Kroger got what it wanted, so the current Monroe and Secor store will continue a steady decline in customer service.
Recently, I was treated to a very understaffed store with lines extending into the aisles and most of the self-serve lanes closed. There was a yelling match in the self-serve line, and another argument being carried on via cell phone near the meat aisle. I was told no by the self-serve cashier when I asked for some coin change.
I just can’t wait for the new Kroger to open across Secor, since none of this will be a problem there, of course.
