City willing to help out if given chance

City willing to help out if given chance

It seems to be a part of human nature to be quick to fault and slow to praise, and in our present day world, to quickly complain and never praise if it has anything to do with politics, government agencies, and government employees.

I’m a Realtor. A client had accepted an offer on her house and a date was set for the closing, but there was a problem having to do with a large tree limb that had fallen across the back fence of the property. The seller had been told, incorrectly as it turns out, that the tree was on city property and the city should take care of having the limb removed and the fence fixed.

I called Engage Toledo at (419) 936-2020 and reported the problem. I talked to a friendly, helpful person and within a couple of days, I received a call back and was informed that the tree, in fact, was on the seller’s property. With that information, the seller assumed the responsibility and the problem was solved.

My point is to let people know that if there is a problem, instead of complaining and saying negative things about the city of Toledo, call Engage Toledo and give the city a chance to respond. They might not only be surprised, but might be very impressed.
