More vaccines required to start next school year

Ohio students will need two more immunizations for the 2010-2011 school year, according to the Lucas County Health Department.

A second dose of the chickenpox vaccine will be required for kindergartners, while seventh graders will need a booster shot for the tetanus, pertussis, and diphtheria vaccine.

Parents should make an appointment with their child's doctor or visit a Shots 4 Tots immunization clinic. To locate a clinic in Lucas County, call 419-213-4121.
