B.G. series aims to help parents guide their kids

BLADE STAFF

BOWLING GREEN — A five-part series aimed at teaching parents practical skills to steer their children toward healthy choices is to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kenwood Elementary School.

“Guiding Good Choices” is offered free by the Wood County Educational Service Center. It is geared to parents of children ages 7 to 14. It has been shown to reduce teen alcohol use, reduce the rate of adolescent problem behaviors, and improve family communication.

Preregistration is not necessary, and participants may attend any or all of the sessions. Child care and a light dinner are provided. For information, contact Greg Bonnell at the educational service center, 419-354-9010.
