Carnival worker arraigned for alleged knife assault

ADRIAN - A carnival worker at the Onsted Festival was arraigned in Lenawee County District Court yesterday for allegedly pulling a knife on another man during a recent dispute.

Steven Johnson, 35, was returned to the Lenawee County jail after being denied bond.

He is charged with assault with intent to murder, felonious assault with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Mr. Johnson, who travels with a company that supplies rides and entertainment for festivals, had no listed address.

Judge Natalia Koselka refused to offer bond because of the potential flight risk. Mr. Johnson will be back in court Aug. 12.
