ADRIAN — The Madison School District is adding rooms to its buildings this summer in preparation for the start of the new school year.
Superintendent Jim Hartley said two of the three building projects, pegged at $1.6 million, are nearing completion. The district is adding classrooms and expanding the cafeteria.
Mr. Hartley said the district has been able to avoid asking voters for the funds by paying for the work from its general fund and by borrowing.
Madison, like the rest of Lenawee County schools, open their doors to students Aug. 26.
