Father, son arraigned in Michigan teen's death

ROMULUS, Mich. - A father and son from Michigan were sent to Wayne County jail without bond yesterday after being charged with the murder of a teenage girl whose body was found in Monroe County's Pointe Mouille State Game Reserve.

William Digna, Jr., 46, and his son, William Digna II, 24, were arraigned in Wayne County District Court, each facing a charge of first-degree murder. The two men were arrested Oct. 20 in New Orleans after warrants were issued naming them as suspects in the murder of a Wayne County teen.

Heather Kish of Lincoln Park, Mich., last was seen by family members in July while she was living with her grandmother. Her badly decomposed body was found Oct. 7 in the state park by a couple hunting for snakes.

The two men will return to court for a hearing Nov. 13.
