Redshirt junior out indefinitely

ANN ARBOR -- The Michigan football program announced today that linebacker Jake Ryan is out indefinitely after sustaining a torn ACL in spring practices.

Ryan sustained the injury Tuesday, per a statement released by the athletic department. Ryan led the Wolverines in 2012 with 88 tackles, 56 solo, 16 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Ryan, a redshirt junior, earned All-Big Ten second team honors by the media and was named as the recipient of the 2012 RogerZatkoff Award, given annually to Michigan's U-M's top linebacker.
