ANN ARBOR -- Will Hagerup has been reinstated to the Michigan football team, the school announced today, but the senior punter will have to sit out the 2013 season.
Hagerup was suspended in December for a violation of team rules and missed the Jan. 1 Outback Bowl. Hagerup is allowed to return to the program for voluntary summer workouts and team functions.
Hagerup will have one season of eligibility remaining.
In 2012, Hagerup averaged 45 yards a punt (33 punts for 1,486 yards).
