Maroth, making his final start of the exhibition season, allowed two runs in seven innings. Toledo reliever Matt Anderson gave up an unearned run in two innings.

Newcomer Richard Gomez, who joined the Mud Hens following a minor-league trade with San Diego, had two hits and drove in one run. Warren Morris also had a double and a single.

The Hens will play today, with Jeremy Bonderman coming down from Detroit to make the start.
