Four Toledo players hit home runs to lead the Mud Hens to a 6-0 win over the Rochester Red Wings Friday night, evening the International League championship series at two games apiece.
David Espinosa and Jack Hannahan hit solo home runs off Pete Munro (0-1), who also gave up Dustan Mohr s two-run blast in the fifth.
Hannahan doubled in the bottom of the eighth and was sent home when Mike Hessman homered.
The Red Wings threatened in the sixth, loading the bases after Quinton McCracken singled, Garrett Jones got on base because of a fielding error and Terry Tiffee was walked.
Mud Hens pitcher Brian Boehringer was ejected for arguing the call along with pitching coach Jeff Jones.
Before he left the game, Boehringer (1-0) gave up six hits in 5 1-3 innings, striking out one and walking one.
Munro gave up four runs and six hits in five innings, striking out six without walking a batter.
