The Detroit Tigers called up left-hander Clay Rapada from the Mud Hens on Tuesday and sent down first baseman/third baseman Jeff Larish to make room for Rapada on the 25-man roster.
Rapada (6.00 ERA) has made eight appearances with the Mud Hens this season with one save and seven strikeouts. He saw action in 25 games with the Tigers in 2008, compiling a 3-0 record and a 4.22 ERA.
Larish has appeared in eight games with the Tigers this season, hitting .176 with a home run.
