A bases loaded walk in the top of the eighth proved to be the difference for the Mud Hens in a 3-2 victory Sunday at Louisville for the team’s first win of the season.
Toledo (1-3) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a two-run home run from right fielder Danny Dorn in the top of the first inning.
With the bases loaded in the top of the eighth, Louisville pitcher Wilkin De La Rosa walked Jordan Lennerton to give Toledo the lead.
Luis Marte got the win for Toledo after one inning of work in the seventh, in relief of starter Duane Below, who allowed two runs and struck out five.
